It's almost November and I am woefully unprepared. So many things to do, so very little time to do them in.
I wanted to plan out every little thing for the month but this is made difficult by the fact that I absolutely hate planning. I can see its benefits but plans have a tendency to not follow through. And I tend to tear out what little hair I have left when things don't go according to plan. I have found that my scalp is quite grateful when I take things as they come, fly by the seat of my pants and play it by ear. It is easier to shrug off things that are unplanned.
In addition to daily work, I am taking part in a 14k fun run, trying to write a 50,000 word novel as part of the National Novel Writing Month, preparing for a test that would determine a big part of the rest of my life and that one other thing that is going to happen in December.
This will be fun.

Waiting
The hardest thing in the world is waiting.
Waiting for that application to be processed. It took a while to gather all the documents you needed and to have them certified. It took even longer to get the correct photos and to have your identity verified. And then as you get ready to post the application you find out that you can apply online, so after banging your head on your desk for a half hour, you do just that. And then it is out of your hands. And so you wait.
Waiting for that book to be delivered. You know you wanted that book as soon as you heard that she was writing it. But you decide to wait till the paperback comes out as you don't like hardcovers much. But then you see her being interviewed on the TV and just like that your mind is made up and you find that you had ordered the book before the interview is finished. The website tells you that it has been dispatched two days later but it also tells you that it could take seven to ten working days before you get it. And so you wait.
Waiting for that certain someone to come into your life. You have been teased for so long but you haven't lost hope. You know it could go wrong but you know you have to cope as you have done too many times before. The end is almost in sight. And so you pray. And so you wait.
